    share:

This document outlines the standard specifications for a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery pack designed for powering standard electric golf carts.

    Core Advantages:

LiFePO4 technology offers significant improvements over traditional lead-acid batteries, including:

    • Extended Cycle Life: Typically 2,000+ deep discharge cycles, significantly outlasting lead-acid.
    • Enhanced Safety: Excellent thermal and chemical stability, reducing risks of thermal runaway.
    • Lightweight & Compact: Higher energy density reduces weight and saves space.
    • Maintenance-Free Operation: No need for watering or equalization charges.
    • High Performance: Stable voltage output maintains power, especially on slopes.

    Standard Specifications:

    • Nominal Voltage: 48V (Commonly configured as 16 cells in series / 15S or 32 cells in series-parallel / 16S2P).
    • Standard Capacity: Ranges from 60Ah to 120Ah, providing 2.9kWh to 5.8kWh of energy. A 100Ah pack is a common choice for balanced range and performance.
    • Continuous Discharge Current: 100A minimum, supporting sustained hill climbs and acceleration.
    • Peak Discharge Current: 150A - 200A for short durations (e.g., 30 seconds).
    • Charging: CC/CV (Constant Current/Constant Voltage) method. Standard charge rate: 0.5C (e.g., 50A for a 100Ah pack). Full charge typically within 3-4 hours.
    • Operating Temperature:Charging: 0°C to 45°C (32°F to 113°F); Discharging: -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F).
    • Battery Management System (BMS): An integrated BMS is mandatory, providing:Cell voltage monitoring and balancing; Over-current, short-circuit, over-voltage, and under-voltage protection; Temperature monitoring and cutoff.
    • Dimensions & Weight: Varies with capacity. A typical 48V 100Ah pack weighs approximately 45-55 kg (100-120 lbs), roughly half the weight of an equivalent lead-acid system.
    • Range: Approximately 20-30 miles on a single charge for a standard 2/4-seater cart, depending on terrain, load, and speed.
    • Connectors: Standard heavy-duty automotive terminals or Anderson-style SB connectors.
    • Case: Robust, IP65-rated enclosure for dust and water resistance.

This standard LiFePO4 golf cart battery pack offers a reliable, long-lasting, and high-performance power solution, delivering superior total cost of ownership and enhanced user experience compared to conventional battery technologies.
